In the fall of 2023, the College welcomed five international students. In 2024 that number grew to 15 and this semester, Fall 2025 the College welcomed 32. Many contributed to that growth, but none more than Paula Wilder, Director of International Programs.

On February 1, 1960 four local college students took a stand for freedom by sitting down at at whites-only lunch counter in a Downtown Greensboro Woolworth's. That brave act led to many others in Greensboro and across the country, eventually integrating lunch counters nationwide. Today a museum commemorates their act and many others that advance civil and human rights. CEO of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum, John Swaine joined us in the President's Corner.

13 is a pretty lucky number for Freddy Johnson. The Greensboro College alum recently won his 13th state basketball championship as head coach at Greensboro Day School. He is the winningest coach in North Carolina history, and in the top five in the country, and before any of that he was a student and player at GC.
